The Queensland institution of Technology (Queensland University of Technology) is a public research institution in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Queensland University of Technology has two campuses in Brisbane: Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove. The current Queensland University of Technology was established in 1989, when the Queensland Institute of Technology (QIT) was transformed into a university by the Queensland University of Technology Act 1988, with the ensuing Queensland University of Technology beginning operations in January 1989. Brisbane College of Advanced Education amalgamated with Queensland University of Technology in 1990.
Queensland University of Technology was a member of the Australian Technology Network of universities until September 28, 2018.
In 2020, QUT had 52,672 students enrolled (39,156 undergraduates, 10,390 postgraduates, and 661 non-award students), and 5,049 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff employees.
Programs
University allows you to pursue your interests. You may prefer to pursue a single degree, such as a Bachelor of Business (Marketing), in which you will focus on one area of expertise. Many of the courses also allow you to include elective studies from other areas of interest. You may, for example, supplement your degree with courses in advertising, design, or even a language.
